Grandpa is in the hospital

Was hospitalized yesterday morning for kidney failure, and was sent to Sacramento that afternoon. Found out this morning that he now has liver failure... It's scary... I keep thinking back to a few months back when he went to the doctors and he wouldn't tell anyone, not even my grandma, what they said.. We were guessing that they gave him a time limit... Plus he's picked out a damn coffin already Dx I guess it's not weird he has a will at his age but still... It's horrid...

hes gonna be there until about sunday. my dad took my grandma down for the day and then home to get her stuff so she can stay with us until my grandpa is back

Don't stress too much about how long he is there for. It's more important that he gets all the treatment and rest that he needs and only comes home once he's made a good enough recovery xxx

He has no idea where he is n they dont know when theyre lettin him out

Is he confused because he's sick/on meds, or is that pretty normal for him? Sometimes vitamin B deficiencies can cause confusion. When my dad was admitted a couple years ago his levels were SUPER low. They gave him injections to get them back up to normal levels and he's still on supplements. I recently heard low vitamin D can cause similar issues, but haven't done the research myself.

Keep hanging in there - it's not easy, but we're here if you need us.

Elsa is right,medicines can do that. When I was admitted for a few days for my kidneys I lost sense of where I was and other things. I remember walking into the hall and asking someone why they were in my house. I also screamed at my surgon because I wanted to leave and thought he was never going to release me.


I hope he gets better soon though. It is good that he is in a place that will help him get better. How are you doing with everything

So my mom is an ass hole. Since she doesn't want to see her own father shes making up bull shit so that only my dad is going with my grandma as in im not allowed to go

Maybe they don't want you to see him like that. Hospitals are not nice, especially when someone you love is in there.

No, even my dad said the reason we can't go is because my mom won't go all the way to sac and is making up reason eitherso we can't go

its purely that she would not go to sac for it was to far. but theyre more than likely moving him outta IC today and be back monday or tuesday

Aw, I'm sorry that they won't let you go see him, but if he's getting better it might be for the best. Hospitals suck, and I hate seeing/being seen in them. Those never turn out to be good memories. Can you go see him at home when he gets there? I be he'll be in much better spirits then.
