Exercises
Girls I need some exercise suggestions. My mobility is still not great since my accident. I can walk although it hurts after a while I can't run or do anything high impact. I went swimming last week and just about managed although I ended up in a lot of pain during and especially after. Anyway, can you help me think of some good exercises that I can do for say quarter of an hour to half an hour a day.
Re: Exercises
Light weights might be your best bet, there are lots you can do at home even without dumbells. Filling up a jug with water or using cans work in their place.

I'm not sure what your injury is, but what about mat pilates? It would be really good for toning, but keep you off your feet.

Re: Exercises
I fractured my coccyx so it makes it awkward for everything I went cycling today but ended up just sitting on the bench watching the ducks whilst my husband cycled. I think I should just concentrate on toning as I don't know how much I can do in terms of cardio
Re: Exercises
I spoke to my physiotherapist about it today and she told me to work out twice a week at a very low intensity. She said walking and light swimming with a float in between my legs so I only use my arms. She also suggested Pilates and showed me some strength exercises to do on the gym ball. The main point is I need to reduce to intensity and the frequency of my activities or I'll hinder the healing process.
