Thought we could share some of the diets we've tried or some that we've heard of

I saw this yesterday and it looks so tempting

I don't usually do diets. The only ones I've attempted would be things like ABC and skinny girl where the only rules are how many calories you can eat. But really, I don't like following diets.

I did one before my ED when I was actually at a low weight anyway. It was the chemical diet which is a week long where you eat lots of fruit, boiled eggs stuff like that. I lost 12lbs on it. Since the ED I make different food rules which I follow for a few days at a time but I'm not structured enough for an actual diet. I would definitely try the one I posted though. If it weren't for having to wear a tube to work. How d'you explain that one

So having an ng tube is the new trendy diet? Suspect I don't think I could do it. Having been threatened with one when I was at my lowest weight, it would just have too much of a negative association for me. *shudder*

My go to/quick fix for the last few years was a juice fast. 6-10 lbs in three days - most of it probably water - but it made me feel better and killed my carb and sugar cravings. The last time I did it though I spiraled right in to total restriction mode and now I can't come back out. Oops.

It requires a juicer and A LOT of prep work but it was pretty easy and except for one, all the juices were good. If anyone wants it, PM me.

I've done 6 days liquids before, although I wasn't drinking enough to be honest. I kind of feel like I'm at a stage where I can't cope with all that restricting again. For me it's all or nothing... If I restrict a little, I'll just stop eating all together... but if you could PM it that would be great to look at

Technically it's a liver cleanse/detox, and the weight loss is just a side effect - the calories are listed with the recipes, and looking at them now they seem high, and carb heavy - 1178 for the day (but as we all know, my perspective is a bit messed up these days tongue ). Also the recipes and numbers are for 10oz of juice - my juicer put out more than 10oz and I drank it all anyway. Making it was too much work to just toss the extra, and I was training so I probably needed it.

My friends and I started doing it to help clear out fertility drugs and ease the symptoms/side effects of those - which worked really well. If you've been restricting already I'm not sure how effective it will be for weight loss, but it really did kill the sugar/carb cravings I had - like totally dead. I also had people comment on how good my skin looked (no one ever says that when I'm restricting, lol). I did it a few times when I was swimming and skating *really* hard, and during those times I had to add in the avacado to keep my energy up. I never did the transition in to it, or the transition out of it. The notes/comments are from a friend of mine when she passed it to me. It was designed by another friend and her trainer after researching clean eating and liver cleansing. Prepping and juicing is messy and time consuming though. I'm sure I would've done it more often if someone else would do that part for me (I can be SO lazy in the kitchen Embarassed ).

So . . .all that said, if you still want it, I will send it. tongue
