Hi all, my sister has finally opened up about having an eating disorder. She is with a counsellor who is suggesting to her about residential treatment programme. If anyone can shed some light on if it is a good idea for her to go in... It is my opinion that she does not need severe inpatient treatment and fear that she may actually become worse by interacting with people who may be very pro ana, for example. Just looking to find whats best for my sis. if anyone has any experience in the area of doing a inpatient treatment programme and how the residential care effected them that would be great.
